LightSpeed’s information security practices, policies and procedures are officially approved to meet AICPA trust principle criteria
CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – July 15, 2019 – LightSpeed Technology Group, a leading revenue cycle management company, recently announced it has achieved the Service Organization Control (SOC) 1 and SOC 2 Type II compliance attestation, a standard defined by the Association of International Certified Professional Accountants (AICPA). The achievement affirms that LightSpeed’s information security practices, policies and procedures are officially approved to meet the SOC 1 and 2 trust principles criteria for security, availability, processing integrity and confidentiality.
“With SOC attestation, our customers can be confident that LightSpeed has the controls in place to maintain the security, accessibility and privacy of their systems,” said LightSpeed CEO Weaver Hickerson. “We are organized to handle the data privacy concerns of healthcare clients of all sizes, offering more transparency and accountability to ensure our client’s solutions are running smoothly, securely and efficiently at all times.”
The SOC I and SOC 2 Type II reports are prepared by an independent auditing firm to provide an understanding of the service organization’s suitability of the design and operating effectiveness of its internal controls. The successful completion of this voluntary engagement exemplifies LightSpeed’s ongoing commitment to create and maintain a secure operating environment for its clients’ confidential data.
